Note that this artist was of Canadian Ojibway descent, and consequently was not a registered member of a United States federally recognized tribe.  As such, we do not represent the artist as an American Indian artist as defined by the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990.  The Indian Arts and Crafts Act defines tribal membership for American Indian artists, based on membership in a federally recognized tribe.  All federally recognized tribes are listed in the Federal Register.  Canadian Indian tribes are not included on that list.
